Tripp-lite Rack ATS
Switched rack ATS
The Tripp Lite E-PDUMH20HVATNET 16A switched automatic transfer switch (switched ATS) includes 2x separate IEC C20 inputs (Primary and Secondary) to provide redundant power to single power corded IT devices. If the primary power source becomes unstable or fails altogether, the ATS will switch over to the secondary power source within 7ms and maintain its power until the primary input is restored and stable. Administrators can now continue maintenance work within the IT rack such as replacing UPS batteries without affecting the power to the single power supply IT device.
The E-PDUM20HVATNET switched ATS features 10x IEC outlets (8x switched C13 and 2x unswitched C19 outlets) providing full remote power monitoring both locally and remotely, whilst also providing administrators the ability to power control each C13 outlet.
It also boast additional features such as load shedding allowing the administrator to extend the UPS runtime by powering down non-essential IT devices. Whilst the auto-probe feature continuously monitors the network health status of each IT device and allows configurable user defined actions such as autonomously power cycling the troublesome IT device after multiple failed ping attempts.

Network interface provides PDU control and data regarding input voltage, frequency and loading information
10x outlets (8x IEC C13 switchable outlets and 2x C19 non-switchable outlets)
Supports power-on, power-off or reboot of each IEC C13 outlet on a real-time or programmable basis
Supports user-specified alarm notification thresholds
Enables reboot of locked equipment, custom power-on/power-off sequences, load-shedding of optional loads and disabling unused outlets
IP-based Auto Probe detects lost connectivity and restores service autonomously
Optional EnviroSense2 modules (sold separately) provide a variety of environmental monitoring capabilities
Firmware upgrade ability supports future product enhancements
1U horizontal rackmount format installs in one rack space
Built-in 2 digit visual meter continuously reports PDU load level in amps
2x 3.7m C20 input cables included
Front and rear rack mountable installation
Front panel grounding lug
Input LEDs
2x separate 16A C20 208/230V inputs enabling redundant primary/secondary power option for single corded IT devices
The E-PDUMH20HVATNET switched ATS is equipped with digital LEDs showing if the Primary or Secondary AC input is active
ATS functionality makes the E-PDUMH20HVATNET ideal for adding redundancy to single-corded devices. When used with a single UPS system, it provides fault-tolerant hot-swappable UPS protection for applications requiring zero downtime. When each of its power cords is connected to a separate UPS system, the E-PDUMH20HVATNET provides fully redundant, zero-downtime UPS protection.
Outlet LEDs
Displays whether each Switched ATS PDU outlet is on or off.
Load Ramping and Shedding
Load ramping defines power-on sequences and delays to prevent malfunctions and inrush overloads at startup.
Load shedding increases the runtime of critical systems by automatically turning off nonessential equipment.
Example: A UPS supporting sixteen network switches can provide about twenty minutes of runtime during an outage. After load shedding turns off twelve switches that aren’t essential to core network functions, runtime expands to two hours for the remaining mission-critical switches.
Auto Probe for Monitoring and Rebooting Locked-up Devices
The Auto Probe feature enables a Tripp Lite LX Platform device to communicate with one or more devices on the network. The ping communication response from those devices acts as a “heartbeat” that is continuously monitored by the PDU or UPS. If the PDU or UPS cannot detect the heartbeat after multiple communication attempts, the Auto Probe will autonomously perform one or more user-configurable actions, including those that can help return the network devices to an operational state.
Auto Probe is an extension of Tripp Lite’s network card Watchdog Probe feature. Yet unlike Watchdog Probe, which performs a reboot of itself (the web card) when triggered, Auto Probe can perform a reboot of another device by cycling the outlet(s) powering that device.
In addition to individual load cycling, Auto Probe can be configured to perform one or more of the following actions:
Reboot multiple loads/outlets
Send an email
Send an SNMP trap
Perform a control, such as reboot the network card
Perform an SNMP v1 Set on a remote device
Trigger a shutdown of a computer running Tripp Lite’s PowerAlert Network Shutdown Agent (PANSA)
Up to 64 unique Auto Probes can be configured per device. Execution of Auto Probe actions are captured in the Event Log of the LX Platform device’s web interface.
Outlet Current Monitoring
Displays how much power output power is being drawn.
Output monitoring provides the data needed to determine the power draw and operating cost, decreasing guesswork whilst efficiency and system reliability increases.
Example: If a PDU is near capacity, and a device connected to the PDU draws the majority of the power, it helps to know which device it is in order to better accommodate it without risking an overload. Output current monitoring can also reveal critical energy information, confirming whether it would be more cost-effective to upgrade to a device that delivers more work value per watt.
Digital Load Meter for Real-time Visual Monitoring
A load meter provides the real-time load level (in amps) of connected equipment to help ensure that the PDU is used at maximum capacity without danger of overload. Total output capacity is 16A (12A/10A CE max per C13 outlet and 16A max per C19 outlet).
2 Year Warranty and Environmentally Responsible Design
The E-PDUMH20HVATNET comes with a 2-year warranty. It’s manufactured in compliance with strict RoHS specifications, reflecting Tripp Lite’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
