Leading organisations have trusted and relied on both the Avocent ACS5000 and ACS6000 series serial console servers for secure out-of-band serial console access around the world. However all products inevitably reach the end of their lifecycle as technology evolves. Both the Avocent ACS5000 and ACS6000 advance console server range are now end of life and unsupported.
If you are still using the legacy Avocent ACS5000 / ACS6000 series console servers then migrate to the new Avocent ACS8000 / ACS800 range with minimum disruption and ease ensuring maximum compliance, security and monitoring.

The New Avocent ACS8000 / ACS800 series
The new Avocent ACS8000 / ACS800 serial console solution takes Avocent's renowned enterprise class technologies delivering secure in-band and out-of-band visibility to IT equipment, with the addition of environmental monitoring, IoT integration and remote networking capabilities.
The new Avocent ACS8000 advance console servers are built for data centres and enterprise class applications, whilst the ACS800 advance console server is optimized for smaller scale Edge networking applications and edge-oriented market sectors including financial institutions, retail chains, and education.
For existing environments with Avocent ACS5000 / ACS6000 serial console servers, easily deploy multiple Avocent ASC8000 / ACS800 serial console servers with zero touch provisioning, whilst deploying the configuration files for easy migration.
Add additional environmental sensors for enhanced visibility and monitoring of your remote IT locations, whilst expanding port connectivity using the onboard USB ports for serial RS-232 connectivity.
Stay connected with your IT infrastructure during a network outage by remotely troubleshooting IT issues from anywhere in the world with automatic failover to Ethernet / Modem / LTE.
In addition, improved Ansible support with the addition of Python libraries and improvements to the bash login shell. Administrators can now use cURL and Python to communicate with the RESTful API.
